Mai Tai
The original recipe calls for orange curaçao. Neither are curaçao but Grand Marnier and Cointreau both work great.
2 oz | aged rum |
1/4 oz | orange liqueur |
3/4 oz | freshly squeezed lime juice, with 1/2 spent lime reserved for garnish |
1/2 oz | orgeat syrup |
1/4 oz | simple syrup |
Pour the liquid into shaker and fill with cracked ice. Shake vigorously for a second then pour into a rocks glass. Garnish with the spent lime hull.
