Whisky Smash
| 2 oz | rye or bourbon |
| 1/2 | lemon cut into wedges |
| 3/4 oz | simple syrup |
| 4 | big spearmint leaves |
| 1 | mint sprig |
In a shaker, muddle the lemon. Add the remaining ingredients and fill with ice. Shake and double strain into a rocks glass filled with cracked ice. Smack a mint sprig between your hands to release the aroma then use it for garnish.
